Welcome to Capistrano Valley High School Boys Soccer and our proud tradition of victory with honor. The boys’ soccer program at CVHS is committed to academic achievement and both personal and athletic growth.
This is my fourth season as the head coach for the boys program. While I have been part of the soccer program at Capistrano Valley for eleven years, I still am refining my skills as a coach. I welcome the opportunity to continue the great Cougar Soccer tradition and to build both the athletic ability and the character of those in our program. Because I am a teacher at CVHS and on site every day, I can and will stay on top of any academic and discipline issue that may arise regarding soccer team members.

This is a commitment to the good of the team over the individual. All members of each of the three squads ---- varsity, junior varsity and frosh soph --- must be committed to the team and understand that all efforts are on behalf of the team and its success as a whole. All three teams are competitive in both pre-season and in South Coast league play. The coaching staff and I are committed to having yet another great season and to watching the players grow as individuals and athletes. Players are expected to attend all practices and games and to adhere to all team rules and standards.
            The soccer program and its success are dependent on the involvement and financial commitment of the players and their families. The CVHS Boys’ Soccer Booster Club funds the lions share of our equipment needs. I urge you to become involved in the Booster Club and to support the program. (see Booster Club link)
            I am confident that players who are part of the soccer program at CVHS will grow and succeed athletically, in character, and as students.
Tryouts for the 2007-2008 squads will be held the first two weeks of September. Those in the 10-12 grades may enroll in the athletic soccer class where their tryouts will be held. Ninth (9th) graders will tryout after school the second week of September. (Please see link for tryouts to get information and exact dates and times)
